Project Manager / Civil Engineer – Site & Land Development

TCE’s growing Williston, VT office is looking for a Project Manager/Engineer to join its Land Development team. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals to manage all aspects of site civil engineering for public and private sector projects, including grading and drainage design, utility design, site and roadway layout.

TCE performs engineering, environmental, survey and landscape design services on a wide variety of challenging projects including commercial, residential, development, energy generation facilities, roadways, transportation, stormwater planning and design, and ski area infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications
  • Support preparation of land development design and permitting documents
  • Responsible for project financial performance and client relations
  • Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems designed
  • Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues with them
  • Supervise multidisciplinary team activities during design and construction administration phases
  • Manage work and development of other staff
  • Manage small, medium or large projects
  • Develop new project opportunities and manage proposal submissions

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development
  • Proficient in site layout, grading and utility design
  • Stormwater design and permitting experience a plus
  • PE licensure in Vermont or ability to obtain within 12 months

Civil Staff Engineer – Site/Land Development

TCE’s growing Williston, VT office is looking for a Staff Engineer to join its Land Development team. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of professionals in all aspects of site civil engineering for public and private sector projects, including grading and drainage design, utility design, site and roadway layout.

TCE performs engineering, environmental, survey and landscape design services on a wide variety of challenging projects including commercial, residential, development, energy generation facilities, roadways, transportation, stormwater planning and design, and ski area infrastructure design.

  • Perform various analyses for onsite wastewater, water supply, traffic, storm water and erosion control
  • Support preparation of land development design and permitting documents
  • Prepare drawings and specifications
  • Observe construction and prepare reports

  • VT Stormwater and septic design and permitting experience a plus

Senior Professional Geologist / Hydrogeologist

Ideal candidate would have 10+ years of experience in Vermont in the fields of environmental consulting and research including groundwater quality, soil quality, air quality, environmental cleanup and remediation, wastewater management, stormwater management, and hazardous waste management.
