Daniel Heil, P.E.

Dan is a Project Manager and Engineer at TCE with over 14 years of land development experience in both Vermont and the DC, Maryland & Virginia area. He has been involved in projects of all types, including commercial, municipal and residential projects. From large scale, mixed-use development, to single lot subdivisions, he brings a wealth of knowledge to TCE.

Dan has a strong background in site development, grading, stormwater management and the permitting process. With local and State regulations ever evolving and becoming more complex, he believes communication is paramount in a successful project.

Dan was raised in Essex, VT and still resides there with his wonderful wife and two young children. Outside of work Dan enjoys getting outside camping, skiing, swimming, kayaking and playing with his kids

Recent Project Experience

Residential and Commercial Developments, Various Locations, VT

Dan works directly with clients to understand their development vision while guiding them through the conceptual, design, permitting and construction process. Dan recognizes that every project is unique, and educates the client on local and State regulations to help bring their development vision to reality. Recent project experience includes a 45-unit residential development in Colchester, 60,000 SF commercial building in Milton and a large scale, mixed use development in located in Williston’s growth center.

Stormwater Management, Various Sites, VT

Dan is responsible for developing stormwater management plans designed to treat and reduce runoff associated with proposed impervious surfaces. With stormwater treatment and control becoming increasingly important in preserving the health of our States vital natural waters, Dan works with both the client and jurisdictional authorities on designing and implementing stormwater practices that fit naturally within the development while meeting local and State regulations.

Construction Administration and Inspection, Various Sites, VT

Dan works with contractors and owners to ensure that site construction is in compliance with the approved design plans. Dan has experience with erosion prevention, construction observation / inspection, construction surveying & layout, as-built surveys, and record drawings.
