Solar Site Assessment and Permitting

VERMONT SOLAR SITE ASSESSMENT AND PERMITTING

TCE has been successfully working with Vermont and national solar companies for residential and commercial clients.

Depending on the size and location of an array our services may include topographic and boundary survey work, wetland delineation, wetland permitting, mapping natural communities rare plant surveys, visual and aesthetics analysis, vegetation management plans, wildlife assessments, noise, storm water mitigation and erosion and sediment control plans. TCE has experts that provide testimony for the Act 248 permitting process and help developers obtain a Certificate of Public Good from the Public Service Board. We also assist with construction layout and compliance work during construction. TCE has worked closely with a number of local and national developers and solar consultants to address unique site requirements and local concerns and create much needed renewable energy in VT.

We like solar so much we bought our own share of a community solar farm designed and built by Aegis Renewable Energy. We’re proud that since January 1, 2015 our Williston Offices (and many of our employees residences) electrical consumption are 100% offset by clean solar power. TCE is a member of the award winning 187kW Boardman Hill Solar Farm in West Rutland. The Boardman Hill Solar Farm was presented the 2015 Energy Project of the Year Award from the Vermont Energy and Climate Action Network for dedication to helping the community generate clean energy, reduce gas emissions, and maintaining fully green credentials. This project also received the Vermont Governors’ Award for Environmental Excellence in 2016.
